Vikings Stadium Project Reaches Halfway Mark
Minneapolis, MN
An important milestone was reached in the building of the new MN Vikings Stadium – the halfway point of construction. Gephart Electric – as a part of the Build 23 joint venture – has been working on the project since it started over a year ago. In advance of the July 29th, 2016 construction deadline, the Mortenson/Thor-led construction team has already poured over 80,000+ cubic yards of structural concrete and completed well over $400M worth of work. Nine hundred construction workers have logged more than a million man-hours with the project expecting to peak at 1,100 workers onsite in the spring of 2016. Equally important to the project’s mission, 40% of the participating workers to date have been minorities, women and veterans.
