Congratulations to Laura Karow

Congratulations to Laura Karow, President of Gunnar Electric, Inc., on winning the Finance & Commerce Top Women in Construction 2023: Industry Leadership award.

Since partnering in 2009 as part of the AWC/City of St. Paul Construction Partnering Program (CPP), Gephart and Gunnar have worked together on several high-profile projects around the Twin Cities, including U.S. Bank Stadium, the Minnesota State Capitol Renovation, and the Minnesota United FC’s Allianz Field to name a few.

Laura is a true leader in our industry and a huge advocate in promoting more women joining the construction industry. She routinely speaks to high school and college students about her journey as a 20+ year master electrician and business owner. She is also an active member and former board of director member in the Association of Women Contractors and often mentors young contractors breaking into the industry.
