Work Underway at Methodist University Hospital

Memphis, TN

Work has commenced at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN.  The project consists of approximately 485,000 SF of new construction, including a vertical expansion over the existing Emergency Department and expansion over Eastmoreland Drive.  The second phase will include removal and re-installation of existing helipad, demolition of 8-story “crews building,” and over 90,000 SF of phased renovation work.  Gephart Electric was brought in and, after 2 months of meetings and problem solving, was able to present nearly $5M in target cost alignment ideas including a complete redesign of the electrical distribution system to get the project back on track and in-budget.
